Building Soulcrafting
Yesterday marked 90 days of building Soulcrafting alongside Bryan and our team of creators. Since joining the team, I've been in a constant state of amazement at the generosity and openness of our community, not only here in Colorado, but all across the country. The sense of welcome and openness has been incredible, overwhelming at times, even. In just three months, we've welcomed dozens of new craftspeople to our family, made new friends, built some cool stuff, delivered some incredible gift experiences, formed partnerships and connected with so many fascinating people. Soulcrafting is happening, and it's bigger than we ever could have imagined.
My favorite facet of our work here is the building of our creative community. It's also what invites the question from those most curious about what is happening behind the scenes:
"How are you doing this?"
We're learning. We're connecting. We're researching. We're tasting. We're exploring. We're creating. We’re building an online community and marketplace, powered by hands-on learning. With no set formula to follow, we've developed a creator evaluation process based on three simple principles:
Craft
What is their core product? How is the quality? What is their work environment like?
Personality
Is there a personality match? Would we want to build something with them? How is their teaching prowess?
Marketplace
How does their craft fit into the Soulcrafting landscape? What is their unique selling proposition? Are they marketing and technically savvy?
It's constantly evolving, and we've got so much more to learn. It's exciting to be the hub of new learning, new products, and new relationships with the creative community that surrounds us.
Here's to the next 90 days.
