About C.W. Hood Yachts

C.W. Hood Yachts is comprised of a dedicated core of craftsmen and women who have an eye for tradition and the know-how to get the job done right. Whether starting a new build or restoring an old classic, we approach every challenge with a wealth of experience and a commitment to quality service. That's how it's always been, and that's how it will always be.

For C.W. Hood's own Chris Hood, a career in boatbuilding started as early as the age of twelve, when he was enlisted to help restore his family's sailboat. Before long, he found himself launching a design of his own. Chris started C.W. Hood Yachts with the help of lifelong friend and fellow boatbuilder Chris Stirling.

Today, C.W. Hood produces the world's finest, handcrafted boats from its coastal home in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The Hood family reputation is founded upon quality service, innovative products, and a diverse background in the boating industry. These founding principles are still very much alive today in the yacht services we, the handcrafted boats we build, the original designs we create, and the relationships we forge with each and every customer.

With its long, lean hull, sweeping overhangs, carbon fiber rig and modern underbody, this boat looks so gorgeous under sail that it is hard to tear your eyes away. And if that’s not a winning attribute, nothing is. The boat’s sailing characteristics affirm the old saw that ‘if it looks right, it is right’—fingertip steering, a fine turn of speed, and a beautiful view along the deck to that fine bow.
