Learn to Make Delicious Pastries and Desserts
Dorian O'Connell is an award-winning pastry chef and the founder of the Boulder Dessert Club. Her favorite desserts include anything chocolate or fruit: Passion Bonbons, Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake, Almond Frangipan, Creme Brûlée, Lemon Tart, Homemade Oreos, and the list goes on.
What You'll Get
Hands On Education - Each experience with Dorian will last two to three hours and will be tailored to your skill and taste. Dorian will supply all of the equipment and ingredients and you'll work from the comfort of your kitchen.
Enjoy With Friends - Dorian can accommodate groups of up to six people or provide one-on-one instruction. It's up to you!
Chocolate Truffles and Truffle Box
Truffles Your Way - You'll work with Dorian to make two hand rolled truffles of your choice - ranging from Grand Marnier to Raspberry. Then you'll create a box made out of ALL chocolate. You'll create an amazing box of truffles and be able to eat the whole thing.
Cost - For one to three participants the cost is $200 for groups of one to three people. For groups of four to six the cost is $400. Dorian will supply all ingredients and equipment. We require a $25 deposit to reserve your class.
Healthy Kid Snacks
Snack Master - Sick and tired of buying packaged foods? You'll work with Dorian to learn how to make healthy snacks for your kids' lunch or your own. All of these snacks have no added cane sugar. Learn to make Granola Bars, fig newtons and other delicious treats.
Cost - For one to three participants the cost is $70 per person. For groups of four to six the cost is $60 per person. Dorian will supply all ingredients and equipment. We require a $25 deposit to reserve your class.
A New Take on Old Favorites
All-Time Favorites - Remember those store bought cookies you used to love? Times have changed: now you want to know what you put in your body so we are remaking the classics. Oreos, Nutter Butter, Poptarts, Cheez-its, etc., all made with simple ingredients.
Cost - For one to three participants the cost is $60 per person. For groups of four to six the cost is $50 per person. Dorian will supply all ingredients and equipment. We require a $25 deposit to reserve your class.
Gluten-Free Glory
Go Gluten Free - Changing up your diet? Creating delicious gluten-free pastries is not as hard as you might expect but there are some tricks. Learn how to use different flours and make delicious gluten-free treats.
Cost - For one to three participants the cost is $80 per person. For groups of four to six the cost is $65 per person. Dorian will supply all ingredients and equipment. We require a $25 deposit to reserve your class.
Custom Pastry and Dessert Experiences
Make Your Favorites - Do you have something in mind that you want to learn? I can customize a class just for you and your friends. This beats a catered party because you get to learn how to make everything you want to eat.

About Dorian
Dorian started working in a restaurant at age fourteen and went on to study at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Dorian searched out Andrew Shotts at Garrison Confections and earned the Assistant Chocolatier Position. While there, Dorian assisted Team USA for the Coupe du Monde 2005 and traveled to France where they took Bronze. Dorian continued her achievements as the Pastry Chef of the Year 2005 to take the Gold at the US Pastry Competition for showpiece and entremet.
After that Dorian took the position at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas working under Chef Frederic Robert. She has appeared on television numerous times. Dorian’s work was shown on the back cover of Le Jouranal de Patisserie and in numerous other magazines. Dorian then took the position as Thomas Keller’s Pastry Chef at Bouchon Bakery in Napa Valley.
Dorian has also been involved with the French Laundry, one of the top restaurants in the country. Dorian has contributed and collaborated in cookbooks with Thomas Keller and CIA. Find Dorian and her incredibel creations online at the Boulder Dessert Club.
