About The Ugly Goat Milk Company

Frank Ugolini and Michael Amen.

Frank Ugolini and Michael Amen.

Established in 2008 by Michael Amen, the Ugly Goat Milk Company began with the purchase of two goats from Craigslist, a homemaking cheese book, and the need to nourish the soul by getting back to his roots. The 40 acre farm is located just 45 minutes northeast of downtown Denver, and is now home to 16 milking goats, 7 milking Jersey cows, laying hens, heritage turkeys and geese, ducks, guineas, barn cats, farm dogs Molly and Saffy, a security team of 3 guard llamas, and 2 miniature donkeys.

Michael taught himself how to make cheeses, and loves to share his knowledge for cheesemaking, farming and cooking.
