Build an Industrial Dining Table with Reclaimed Barnwood
Description - This dining room table is a brand new addition to our lineup (so new that we don't have professional photos up yet). You'll hand choose the wood pieces for your table, selecting the type of wood, colors, and textures piece by piece. You'll then chisel and sand the boards to create a smooth finish, using a blow torch to "age" the fresh-cut wood before staining.
As a final step, you'll oil the custom steel frame and removable steel legs for a consistent, lasting finish.
Cost - This dining table can be customized to your exact specifications so pricing varies but starts at $2,000.
Based on the amount of work you complete, you save money by helping us create this table. It's the Soulcrafting sweat equity discount.
Create an Industrial Coffee Table
Description - A fresh design for a modern environment. Add some interest to your living room with our industrial modern coffee table. We'll use reclaimed wood with a history and add a new raw steel frame. Every table is hand built in our Boulder Colorado workshop. We'll carefully choose all of the boards for a nice pattern and go over all of the table by hand to make sure it's smooth and gorgeous.
AVAILABLE IN ANY SIZE OR SHAPE. Different colors available. Choose from White, Blue, Green, Red or MIXED.
Cost - Price of table as shown is $475 but will vary based on your specifications.
Dimensions as shown: 24"W x 36"L x 18"T
Create Barn Doors in Reclaimed Wood
Description - These are a full set of two barn doors with metal tracks included. We'll frame old, reclaimed wood in an industrial-style raw steel frame and mount it on an overhead rolling track system. They divide two rooms while making a brilliant statement! The weight of the doors makes for a very sturdy, smooth glide back and forth. We'll do all of the woodwork and welding in my shop in Boulder. The wood is salvaged from old buildings and construction demolition nearby. A lot of care is taken to match the panels and make boards look as though they've weathered together over the years. These are VERY high quality doors.
Cost - Price as shown is $1,950 but will vary based on your specifications.
Any size is available: double or single doors. The doors in these photos fit a 6' opening that is 82" tall.
Create an Arc Dining Table
Description - A sleek twist on a classic design, this table sets off style in a very functional table design. The curves we've added really give a lot to the soothing factor of this table. We put a lot of effort into selecting the nicest wood, cleanest lines, and best finish. Every board is laid out and cut by hand with much care and a woodworker's attention to detail. This is a very nice table and will definitely catch the eye as something beautiful and unique in your home.
Choose from various wood colors and sizes. We do custom sizes of all kinds. For certified "Green" options, we offer tables in urban salvaged hardwoods--trees cut in regular city tree maintenance.
We apply 3 coats of a very smooth clear finish to this table that affords it a very durable surface for every day use.

About Austin Aaron
Dancing Grains Woodworks is a specialty woodworking company producing original designs in furniture, doors, and other architectural/interior design elements. We are geared toward making pieces that really speak out in their environment, whether in a subtle way, or an exciting one. Everything that we are exposed to in our daily environment, especially in the home, has such a great effect on the way we live our lives and make decisions. So, we propose that the more inspiring an environment you can create for yourself, the more fulfilling life has the potential to be.
We work with materials from many different types of sources, but we like most to work lumber sourced from the urban environment--trees being taken down for maintenance or prescribed inner-city growth-- reclaimed woods, or other materials that we have come to understand to be a sustainable resource to use. We regularly buy bulk loads of these types of resources, and consciously make decisions as to what we use in our products.
We have a line of semi-custom pieces of furniture, made to order in our Boulder, Colorado workshop, as well as one-of-a-kind custom heirlooms. We are highly skilled craftsmen and artisans bringing excitement back to the "everyday." There is a growing resurgence of support for the MADE IN AMERICA values and we are seeing people relearn what real quality is. Our customers are pleasantly reminded that there is an intangible, indescribable quality to hand-made goods. It is something that is more noticed in their presence than in their absence, so you must be around them to get the benefit. We hope that you have recognized the difference and see that you have found yourself in the right place.
