Description - In this 90-minute hands-on spice exploration you'll hear directly from Chef Zieg, Denver's go-to spice master, how to amp up your meals with your very own spice blends. Sure, salt and pepper will never go out of style, but by getting just a little creative with your spices you can create flavors that up until now you thought only restaurant chefs could create. You TOO can have restaurant quality flavors at your own table.

After a quick de-brief that covers spice facts, cooking science, and the human eating experience, you'll grab your own scoop and scale and begin making your own blends based on what you like to cook at home. There will be open discussion about the three blends every home cook must have, and ample opportunity for you to ask all of the questions about spice and flavoring your recipes that you've ever dreamed of. 

Location: Nutritious U kitchen,  2832 W 44th St, Denver, CO 80211. 

Cost - $350 for a group of up to 4 people. 

Includes 8 custom spice blend creations, and 1 SPICES poster per participant.

Chef Zieg, aka Tim Ziegler, Spice Master at Denver's Italco Food Products, Inc. has been selling, using and teaching about spices for over 25 years. As the founder of Colorado Spice, Inc. in 1988, he grew his business, acquired others, sold his company, and is now on his third version of "The House that Spice Built". He is known as the "Chef behind the Chefs" as his daily work involves spice consulting and sales with some of the most renowned chefs in the nation. He is the author of The SPICES Poster frequently writes articles for trade magazines and was recently featured on the cover of "Gourmet News," one of the largest gourmet food business publications.
